68 - EXCITING NEWS

October 1st 2015 "What a Day to Remember"

Mum and LawsonI feel like the luckiest girl on the planet. It has taken a year of ups and downs to find the most perfect partner. I was so excited the first time I rode him; he is the most beautiful horse I could ever imagine and watched his video(on YouTube) over and over. It was such a great day when he passed the vetting and so pleased my mum was with me to share the joy. My dad came with me all the way to Essex to pick up Lawson and bring him home to Dorset. Thank you to Emma Bird for giving him the best start any horse could wish for. Thank you to Louise and Andy for putting up with me through several ups and downs over the last year!!! Now we can look forward.

67 - DRESSAGE POINTS LEAGUE

Well done to everyone who took part in our dressage competition at Higher Merley Farm on Sunday 6th September. For once we had a lovely sunny day which made everyone smile.

Thank you to Alicia Anderson for judging and giving such positive encouraging comments. Thank you to Tracy Upshall for organising us with such efficiency on the day. To Colin Stone our amazing in house Steward. He is always there rain or shine and makes everyone feel very confident guarding the entrance to the warm up and on hand to stop any excitable horses from making a run for it!!!.

Congratulations to our winners Class 1-Chloe Lashmar, Class 2 Sophie Reis, Class 3 & 4 Ella Maskery, and puts Ella into first place on our leader board.

The only way to win points and be the winner of our fabulous prizes will be to enter our next competition on 31st October.

66 - BYRDS CAMP

Gosh it has been a hectic time. BYRDS camp at Hartbury was a great success and I was lucky enough to teach some lovely young people with cracking horses and such supportive parents. We worked and played hard and I did fall into bed somewhat exhausted. Hartbury is such a fantastic venue and the food was amazing; if I stayed there much longer I would have been the size of a house.

Claire and I have some BYRDS workshops booked for the New Year, so check out the dates on British Dressage Website. There are also lots of dates/ clinics booked for the winter so we can work happily in the dry.

Hannah Pearce and Horse JumpingI just wanted to share this lovely picture of Hannah Pearce on her beautiful new horse Spider. Please do not worry Dougal she still loves you just as much.
