7 - Competition
How exciting! Having just purchased 3 more impression pads to assess the fit of your saddle, I thought it would be a good idea to have a competition to win a free assessment worth £40 and for those of you feeling the pinch this winter, I have added a second prize to make it more exciting - you can win a lesson (with me) worth £30. If you do not have a horse then enter and give the lesson to a friend for a present. Incase of several correct answers, the winner will be drawn at the Christmas Clinic at Kingston Maurward on the 27th December (places still available- booking forms and information under clinics)

5 - Clinic at Comeytrowe Equestrian Centre- Taunton
It was lovely to return to Comeytrowe and see the development of the facilities; it was almost unrecognisable. I must say thank you Janet for organising the day, and for giving me such great horses to work with. I am sure Sarah will realise soon that her horse is far too nice to go hunting, not that I have anything against it, but he does enjoy the dressage- just get those boots worn in before next time. Good luck Lucy at your next competition, send me an Email and let me know how you did - remember the key points. Thank you Becky for riding the big chestnut so well; letís hope you get to keep him for a while, I rather like him. Ashdon and Sam work hard without stirrups, remember no pain no gain! I hope to get the chance to work with the lovely big bay next time. It was well worth getting up at 4.15am, but maybe next time I could start a Little later!

4 - Dressage at Kingston Maurward College 25th October
What an exciting day, to win the Novice qualifier with 71% and secure qualification for the winter semi- finals. Rommel was so well behaved and warmed up with such a cool head. I think it is me who should be on the Nupafeed calmer!
Now his canter is improving he finds it very easy to pop in the odd flying change, which made me a little uneasy in the counter-canter and during the test I was very cautious.
Rommel was pleased to get home, have a lovely roll in the field and see his friends. Whilst my friend Kim was also very pleased as she found out that you cannot have tests called at the semis so that lets her off the hook. Thanks once again to Julie and her fabulous team of helpers and a big thanks to my trainer Melanie Norris

3 - Clinic 18th Oct Laurel Lodge
How lucky to have such a fantastic day for the clinic at Laurel Lodge. Linda made everyone so welcome, allowing us to use her lovely new stables and squeezing all the lorries into the Shetlands field. We did move them out first I hasten to add.
It was lovely having so much room for the dressage section and several people managed to score eights, even though a couple had learnt the wrong test, not mentioning any names Katie and Tony! Chelsea, Nina and Lauren our younger pupils did really well and now think dressage is not so dull. Thanks again to Kim for writing for me.
Louise did a great job with the jumping and managed to push a few people out of their comfort zone. Well done Lorraine you kept breathing and Isobel cracked the canter. We had some good sound effects from Sharon, excuses from others like Rachel forgetting her jumping saddle. Others were totally focused Ali, Dawn, Gill and Kathy on getting round. Thank you Gail for the lovely cake, just save a piece for me next time.
