Lisette-Marie Batchelors daughterGilly has been teaching my daughter for approaching two years. Prior to finding Gilly we had tried numerous instructors and my daughter had fallen off so many times and become so nervous we were almost at the point of giving up!

With Gilly she has become a competent and very successful young rider with great 'feel' and exceptional ringcraft and expertise for her age. Gilly instills confidence and gives children the proper grounding and riding techniques they will need to become accomplished adult riders.

Rachel HigginsI have found Gilly to be a professional and patient instructor, always willing to help and advise. Lessons are fun yet progressive inspiring me to continue to improve my riding. As a result of Gilly's instruction my confidence has dramatically increased to a level where I am entering local competitions, something I would have avoided a few years ago!

Deborah HobbsRia and I have been having lessons with Gilly for over two years now. Gilly ensures that she looks at us as individuals and as a team and when required will ride Ria herself to understand how she is feeling under saddle which she then transfers to me during our lessons.

Gilly is understanding and patient always offering positive encouragement which assists in building our confidence thus helping us to progress further.

I first met Gilly in 1989 when I was recommended to her by my existing instructor who was no longer travelling to teach.

In that time, Gilly has helped me with a variety of horses, always with enthusiasm at whatever level their training and ability. If things have not been going quite right, I can guarantee that 99% of the time, things will have improved by the end of the session. Her level of teaching and knowledge is a tribute to the hard work she has herself spent training at various centres of excellence with top trainers. This is borne out by the level she has competed at, not always with the best or most talented horses. She has been there to support me in finding new jobs for an older horse and recommending where to find new ones from.

I have had great fun over the years in my lessons, whether it be flatwork, jumping or cross country. I have been a guinea pig at demonstrations that Gilly has arranged and attended numerous adult camps that she has organised She is a popular choice of instructor at the Riding Club clinics that I organise and the improvement in attendees ability and confidence is clear to see.

It doesn't matter at what level of horse and rider you are, or what you want to do, one thing is guaranteed, you will learn an awful lot and have lots of fun on the way!
